In 2005, NECA released one of the best Ghostbusters replicas, that still to this day is unrivalled. This is as close to a replica Slimer as you will get in your collection, and when compared to the other few Slimer replicas and statues on the market, this is not only a fantastic option but also great value!
According to the terminology of the movie, Slimer is technically a ‘focused, non-terminal repeating phantasm’, or a ‘class-five full-roaming vapor’. For years it has gone around Hollywood that Slimer was an homage to John Belushi, based on his character ‘Bluto’ from Animal House.
Now you can experience the fun of Slimer with this stunning Slimer replica from NECA. The green rubber material looks perfect and this piece makes a great addition to any Ghostbusters collection!

Unfortunately, when NECA made these in 2005 they shipped them ALL with batteries inside and cracked/broken plastic bases. They must have been sitting in their own warehouses for too long as by the time us sellers got them from the manufacturer the batteries had corroded and even though I tried to remove them, the damage had already been done.
These have been sitting in my warehouse for almost twenty years now and rather than leave them there, I have listed them at a fantastic price (Im sure if these were mint they would be worth triple). As a huge Ghostbusters fan myself, I can honestly say this is one of my favourite Ghostbusters toys ever made, and definitely the best Slimer.
